Background
Pitney Bowes Credit Corporation was a medium-sized financial services providerwith a strong position in equipment leasing. However, the company was perceived as only leasing office equipment due to its association with Pitney-Bowes’ other lines of business. In reality, PBCC had the resources and was equipped to lease all types of equipment. Signature was asked to help address this issue through a branding campaign.
Approach
Signature differentiated PBCC by taking a “leadership” stance within the marketplace. The campaign developed by Signature demonstrated a comprehensive knowledge of the entire leasing process – positioning PBCC both as a leader and an expert that was determined to make the leasing experience as simple and easy as possible. Simple, illustrative graphic depicted the ease of doing business with PBCC while the themeline, “Serving over 350,000 Satisfied Customers,” was testament to its depth and breadth.
Results
The campaign proved tremendously effective in communicating PBCC’s breadth of services, its dedication to ease of service and also differentiated PBCC from all other divisions of Pitney-Bowes.
